By Faith: Crisis to Conviction

01-09-2019

The author of Hebrews defines faith as the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen. He explains that by faith we understand the universe was created by the word of God. The passage can be outlined by the Creation, Fall, and Redemption paradigm of Scripture. The early redemptive history figures of Abel, Enoch, Noah, and Abraham are commended for their faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. When faith is exercised during crisis it grows into conviction.
